01 / SESSION COMPASS
Choose the session
Session Compass currently follows NQ. Use the session selector for the current session or a recorded one. A session runs from 18:00 Eastern through 17:00 the following day. Friday’s session remains available over the weekend; the next scheduled opening is Sunday evening.
Check the timestamp and coverage message first. Holidays, exchange interruptions or a delayed feed can leave missing observations. A retained Friday chart on Saturday is not a live Saturday market.

Separate developing from confirmed
Developing describes the unfinished hour and may change before that hour closes. Confirmed describes direction established from completed hourly structure. Read both lanes rather than treating the latest developing message as a completed confirmation.
The two can differ. An opposing developing read can describe pressure against the established direction. Watch subsequent observations before deciding that the broader picture has reversed.

Understand the structure reference
The structure reference belongs to the confirmed direction and can advance as new qualifying structure forms. Trading through it challenges that direction. It is a way to discuss the session’s structure, not an automatically placed stop or a guarantee that a level will hold.
Use the event list and hourly structure table to see when the read changed. Compare the reference with current price and the session chart rather than considering the direction word by itself.

Navigate the chart
Choose Whole session for the broader path or Last 6 hours for recent detail. Toggle Wall Path levels when recorded wall context is useful. The chart’s price path, direction markers and separate lanes help connect each event to its time.
Pause freezes the displayed update stream. It does not stop the server recorder. Resume before relying on the screen as current; inspect the timestamps whenever the page has been paused or left unattended.

Enable spoken updates
Select Voice On and use Test voice to check playback. Choose periodic updates every five minutes or direction changes only. Keep the tab open, the device awake and browser audio available.
Voice applies to the current session; historical sessions stay silent. Pausing the display also pauses announcements. If you hear nothing, check the switch, test audio, device volume and whether you are viewing a previous session. Voice draws attention to observations; it is not an order instruction.

Review history and coverage
Server recording continues when this page is closed. Choose a completed session to inspect its recorded direction changes. Restored history can be reconstructed from retained observations; missing periods remain visible.
Early in a session there may not be enough completed structure for a confirmed direction. “Developing,” missing direction and incomplete coverage are different conditions. Do not substitute the previous session’s direction for a missing current one.

Use it beside your setup
Start with the confirmed direction, then read the developing hour and structure reference. Use Price Control to examine a nearby level’s response or Range Pulse to follow a smaller range within that broader picture.
A pullback can occur while the session remains upward; an upward developing hour can occur within a wider downward session. This separation helps describe the context without turning every fluctuation into a new trade. Session Compass measures direction, not entry quality or expected profit.
