Opening Range State Engine

OR Telemetry

Opening-range levels are not trade signals by themselves. OR Telemetry watches the collision, waits for retest, separates failed support from reclaim noise, and only marks a setup tradeable when there is a clean target and enough room left to get paid.

Trade Gate

Entry: short failed support after confirmation

Target: next lower OR level

Rejected: first touch, no target, late chase, reclaim without retest

The Sauce

Most opening-range tools mark levels. OR Telemetry studies the behavior after contact. The edge is not the line. The edge is the character change.

Step 01

First Touch Lies

The first bounce or rejection becomes wait for retest. No instant victory lap.

Step 02

Retest Decides

A level must survive or fail with closes, retests, and next-level behavior.

Step 03

Target Routing

Hold points upward. Failure points downward. Reclaim waits for support proof.

Step 04

Trade Gate

The read can be true but late. The gate blocks no-target, too-close, and chase entries.

State Machine

01
TestingPrice touches the OR level, but there is no decision yet.
02
Wait RetestFirst bounce or reject happened. The system demands proof.
03
Failed / ConfirmedTwo closes, retest, or next target behavior decides the level.
04
PathThe strip prints the next OR level for reject, accept, hold, or fail.

Trade Gate

A
Valid TradeConfirmed state, clean target, enough distance, not too stretched.
B
Reclaim / WaitAccepted above resistance is information. Wait for support retest.
C
No TargetNo clean next OR level remains in that direction.
D
Late / Read OnlyThe move already spent too much distance. Let it go.

Replay

July 2, 2026 replay after the stricter gate. ES, NQ, and RTY produced six entry signals. The damaging reclaim longs were downgraded to no-entry wait states.

Chart Context

The live dashboard keeps OR Telemetry above the chart so the read is tied to the ladder, not floating as a detached signal.
